It is McCain that poses the greatest threat to HFCS, as he is against the sugar import quota which alone explains the existence of HCFS in this country.
making energy skyrocket will more or less put everyone at the mercy of the government, which can then distribute favors as it sees fit.
F-ing lock and F-ing load. I didn’t serve 28 years in my beloved Nation’s military to be subjugated by some two-bit Marxist. Let them try and remove me. I will take many of them down first.
Not really, IMHO. He just wants to be the "leader" of a Revolution, get his name in lights, have people bowing and scrapping to him. For that he needs the rich and their wealth, and the middle-class to disappear. He and his 'ho have a very cushy lifestyle (just like Noam Chomsky) and they have no intention of actually getting out and working in a field. Soros wants total control of government money and resources and by extension control of everybody else's wealth. He'll use the Ayers of the world to achieve it until they are no longer useful.
I just got married last month, and had to re-register, so I voted 1st day of early voting in TN, to make sure there was NO problem with my being able to vote. Voted Straight Republican. Good thing I did, they got my name wrong, right address, second new voters card came in with a hyphenated name...will straighten the mess out AFTER the election.
I remember working in a cold, cold plant under jimmy carter with ‘temp’ controls on the heat...like to FROZE my fanny off.
Good Lord. Africa can't even feed it's own people. They're starving by the millions there.
We can grow enough of our own food to survive.
NY is a good enough agricultural state. Granted we can't grow stuff all year long, but we can grow stuff that stores well.
Do you have a working link to an actual explanation of what Obama intends to do with the agricultural sector, or is the quote all there is? I clicked on the first link in the article and got a message that the document did not exist on that server.

Obama To Farmers: Stop Growing Food
Jennifer Rubin - 11.01.2008 - 11:13 AM
You have the sense that the election cannot come soon enough for Barack Obama. Between Joe the Plumber and Joe the VP, the ever-shifting definition of rich and the blabber-mouth Congressional allies who hint at tax hikes and defense cuts to come, it hasnt been a great finish. Now comes this report:
In a recent interview with Time magazine, Obama cited an article written by Michael Pollan, a professor and longtime critic of U.S. farm policies. As Obama described it, Pollans article was about the fact that our entire agricultural system is built on cheap oil.
Obama told Time: As a consequence, our agriculture sector actually is contributing more greenhouse gases than our transportation sector and are partly responsible for the explosion in our health care costs because theyre contributing to Type 2 diabetes, stroke and heart disease, obesity, all the things that are driving our huge explosion in health care costs.
In loose moments, Obamas lack of understanding of and condescension toward rural and small-town America always slips out. And really, is his point that if farmers grew less food, Americans would be thinner? The mind reels.

Another GW ping
“theyre contributing to Type 2 diabetes, stroke and heart disease, obesity, all the things that are driving our huge explosion in health care costs.”
What a complete idiot. What does he suggest: stop all agriculture because people eat what farmers grow, i.e., food and their bodies degenerate over time?
This “man” is dangerous!
yes! he is. Our crooked press is going to help him destroy this country... I have an idea... if these people hate USA so much and want to see it so drastically changed; join O and move to Africa.
