Well, I hope you are right. I have been getting emails from friends of mine that have never voted Democrat and are voting Obama. My mom, a lifelong Republican in Colorado (just damn), also voting Obama.

Again, I hope you guys are right, but I don’t think it looks very good. I also think there are more Democrats then Republicans. All you have to do is look at the state numbers of registered voters. The Dems have about a 7 point registration advantage.

Dems could have a 50% advantage, but if they don’t come out and vote in the same % the GOP does, they’ll lose.

Now does this artificially inflate the expected PUMA factor?

I totally agree. But what makes you think they aren’t going to come out?

In 2004, the % of GOP and DEM voters was the same - 37% of the total vote nationally. I think the %’s will be roughly the same this year. I haven’t seen anything to make me think any differently.

Dry humor:

Folks, I am toast. I have been fasting (bread and water mostly) for a couple of days.

I was able to get food and sleep. I am back... But I kind of wish I could have continued the fasting...

I also, in the previous post meant to say that that I thought Freerepublic was kicking the political "behinds" of the left.

Well done to Jim Robinson!

Well done to John Robinson!

Well done to all our moderators!

+God bless America!

IT is all about DEPRESSING the turnout.

Exactly right. When it comes to the ACTUAL VOTING, I know we have the VOTES to put McCain-Palin in White House.

But the enemy has manipulation via media propaganda.....
