Barring an extraordinary shock, Barack Obama will win more than 270 electoral votes on Tuesday, giving him the White House. Hours before voting starts, John McCain has no clear path to reaching that same goal. In fact, based on interviews with political strategists in both parties, election analysts and advisers to both presidential campaigns - including a detailed look at public and private polling data - an Obama victory with well over 300 electoral votes is a more likely outcome than a McCain victory. Under the Electoral College system, a candidate wins all of a state's electoral votes as long as he or she achieves a popular vote victory of any margin. Obama's commanding position results from the fact that he holds seemingly impregnable popular vote leads in twenty-four states, plus the District of Columbia, with 291 electoral votes, more than he needs to win. Obama's geographic anchors are the northeast, the mid-Atlantic, the upper industrial Midwest and the west coast, all areas that Democratic presidential candidates have dominated for several election cycles. But he is encroaching on other states as well that have recently been gone dependably Republican, including Nevada, Virginia and Colorado.

NOTHING in the world will coerce me into voting for this hypocritical, empty suit who is nothing more than rhetoric and platitudes. I SOOO hope all of these bozos get egg on their face tomorrow.
Why do we post this BS?
McCain - my prediction 304 Electoral votes
It’s meant to demoralize McCain supporters. It’s meant to make people stay at home since McCain does not stand a chance. You can’t let it get to you! Prove them wrong by voting tomorrow! Have to go to work, but stay strong! :)
Even so there is a clear path to a victory.
We'll see what that poll, and what that math has to say.
The press has gone overboard with their obama propaganda efforts, that’s for sure. It’s ridiculous to print such stuff when the race is so even in so many states. Add on top of that the overweighting of dems, and yes, it’s going to be a shocker when McCain/Palin win.
After this election, I can never look at another one in the same way I used to.
Bush ‘04 states plus PA, MN, WI, and NH = 331 electors.
The pollsters are too smart for themselves. There lies, damned lies and statistics.
So kool-aid drinking Obamabots need to be bothered by wasting their time at the polls tomorrow. Afterall, ‘everyone’ that knows anything has already written McCain off...
hahaha.. beware the broken glass conservative supercharged with PUMA power... hahahah
Cheers, that would be the sweetest if we get to see everybody eat crow. In a way we have already won...we know we have the moral high ground, we have Sarah no matter what happens and if Obama does win we won’t be that shocked given every news report for the last 5 months. On the other if (when) McCain wins, it will be complete euphoria for us and the complete and total destruction of the other side.
Why post something that none of us believe because the polls are so skewed? For what purpose?
I saw this article on Yahoo this morning, as well. The title should have a BARF Alert. It made me want to throw up!
I am also sick and tired of the MSM manipulating us and being in the tank for the Obamanation. They want us to think that Obama will win in a landslide.
I think the opposite will happen! I think that we will win this election and the media will be so embarrassed and look like total idiots! They will be 100% humiliated! And, honestly, they deserve every bit of it!
The MSM has been so biased and so slanted that it’s beyond unfair.
Why do you post this crap????
just a caviat, don’t forget we were saying the same about dole polls.
Of course this time, ten years later we have a more developed new media and a more deteriorated dinosaur media.
This just means we have to TALK to our friends, TALK to our coworkers.
Yesterday an old timer was surprised I am not a voting for obama. I simply stated “I don’t vote for communists”. He gave the tired of 8 years meme.
My answer was simply McCain is not GWBush and obama is still a communist.
The shock value of calling him an outright communist REALLY WORKS!!!!
so TALK PEOPLE!!!
Mark Halperin is hyperventilating, I can tell. It happens when you actually believe the bogus made-for-TV polls, instead of noting the severe methodological problems with them and dismissing them as the garbage they are.
Face it folks, the publically-accessible polls are going to be of no value in predicting tomorrow’s outcome.
FWIW, my prediction as it stands is McCain wins, 299-239 EV.
