A Lufkin, Texas woman received an unsolicited phone call on her cell-phone from an Obama campaign volunteer. That alone wouldn't make me a very happy camper either, to be honest. So I can understand her response. The volunteer, is a member of the Obama Volunteers of Texarkana.
As taken from Chron.com; "She asked if I was an Obama supporter, to which I replied, No, I don't support him. Your guy is a socialist who voted four times in the state Senate to let little babies die in hospital closets; I think you should find something better to do with your time.' (And then) I hung up."
The call was made by the Obam-ite on Wednesday, Oct. 1st. By Thursday, the Secret Service was already at her door to question her about an alleged "death threat" she made against Sen. B. Hussein Obama. Two federal agents arrived at Jessica Hughes' home Thursday to ask her if she said, "I will never support Obama and he will wind up dead on a hospital floor." Hughes said her words were deliberately twisted by a volunteer who was apparently unhappy Hughes was rude during a phone conversation.

What’s sad is that the SS didn’t turn around and go after the commie who filed a false report.
Scary times indeed
yup sounds like both to me as well, but at least most of us here are a little wacko, we need to be to get by, huh
how bout it..... of course they belive in “the One”... god help us all.
“ornamanets” yikes, I fat-fingered that word, didn’t I, LOL!
Her problem started when she attempted to engage in political dialogue with someone who has no interest in facts or the thoughts of someone who disagrees with the Obama Gospel. She should have taken my tack with such people.
If I am in a hurry, or simply disinclined at the moment I hang up, no conversation, no dialogue, just dial tone. Conversely, if I am not pressed for time, I will take a few moments to ask (in my best Barry white voice) “So, what are you wearing?”. I proceed from there to get as personal as possible, without using any crude language, just crude insinuations, all in the form of questions.

A few weeks ago I had had about 4 hang up calls, then finally one went through and I thought it was a polling call. I was kind of excited, thinking it would be my first ever Presidential Poll call.
Wrong - it started out that way but quickly turned into a slam the Republican contender call... I told the guy off and hung up.
Within minutes the phone rang again and another kid started in on the same lines. I interrupted and asked if this was going to be the attack ad from Lampson pretending to be a poll call?
The poor caller said, "I don't know, no one has been nice enough to take my call yet"..... I really had to laugh then.
You do know FR has a search function?
Perhaps you can point to one story where the email I provided was also included.
Unless a prior story includes all the info included at the link which I provided, this thread is not a duplicate.

I use it when I post. Obviously this poster did not.
But...Thankfully, it was posted twice or I would have missed it.
Actually, I used Google’s site search function to search Free Republic. I found no posting that discussed the Jessica Hughes story that ALSO discussed the information released in the email.
I knew a guy who was investigated by the Secret Service for having his picture taken by a friend in the rear area of a federal courthouse, of which neither of them were aware.
The agents quickly discerned that he was no threat, but then also made it known that they were required both to ask him provocative questions *and* that they had to talk to him for a minimum amount of time, about an hour, even if nobody had anything pertinent to talk about.
He said the provocative questions obviously were designed to provoke an emotional response that would set a kook off. The rest of the interview was intentionally dull, an effort to get the subject to blather in an unguarded manner.
I was similarly interviewed by Federal Marshals.
Was in a hotel lounge in Manhattan waiting (for hours) for someone. Got bored and started fiddling with my video camera, and recorded a couple interesting cars going by. Long story short, soon thereafter two Marshals showed up on “reports of suspicious activity”, yakked with me for a while, asked a couple speed-bump questions (not hostile, but jarring to the conversation’s flow), looked at the video, and eventually left - commenting that BTW, there was nobody of note in that car. They never asked for ID.
Next day I discovered President Bush was giving a speech that morning at a nearby hotel.
