Nice gesture on Starbucks’ part, but the liberal mindset will cost them unnecessarily in free giveaways to freeloaders-—as liberal programs usually do. Just “tell us you voted” and you get free coffee. Is that like “just show up at the polls and give us your name without showing ID.”? Or “just register to vote without proof of citizenship and residency and we’ll believe you.”

Starbucks would save a lot of money if voters got a purple-inked finger and had to show ID. The nation would, too, as McCain would win.

Not so sure about the purple finger thing: I guess as long as they touched a Diebold screen BEFORE they got ink-y!

Besides, we currently “own” the purple finger iconography: hate to see them appropriate that as well “CHANGE”!

Between multiple cups of coffee and looking for public bathrooms, maybe they'll hit fewer polling places on voting day.
