It’s already happened, there are TONS of grass roots democrats working for McCain, their disgust with Obama rivals ours.

You are correct. I actually saw a “Democrat for McCain” lawn sign in a very liberal neighborhood in our town today. Very few Obama signs, plenty of McCain signs and this Democrat for Obama sign.
I've been in this “hobby” for a long time and I've never seen anyone print up cross party signs like these.
