You are correct. It does not seem like this civilian security force would be armed. It would be like a group of experts in their field being made available to restore a city hit by a terror attack....restored with liberal controls.

But there is nothing to stop such a group from being expanded by the next administration to become armed.

This is exactly how communism took over Hungary, Czechoslovakia, etc. Slow, incremental changes followed by a single, violent takeover where the ‘useful idiots’ like Obama would be executed.

Freepers are understanding the long-term rammifications of Obama’s plan. I doubt he would be able to take this country over. Instead, he will put the building blocks in place that can be used by the next, more liberal administration.

Not to argue, but if they're unarmed,why are they part of his defense proposal and not his homeland security proposal?
