Don’t get me wrong, I think we’d win...but consider that the population of the Soviet Union probably dwarfed the number of “law enforcement” and military under arms.

The Slavs were/are people of a differing character and life view from Americans, more susceptible to the type of system developed under Stalin, and later maintained in a softened form by Nikita Kruschev et. al. Often extremely bright, they excelled in the arts and the sciences, did have a strong patriotic "can-do" attitude, and were/are quite concerned with bragging rights (biggest nation, biggest thermonuclear device, biggest plane, biggest dam, etc.). The Slavs, as a group, tend to approach work in short, violent spurts, (the very word for work Rabata has roots in that connotation) with far greater emphasis on quantity than quality. That is a Slavic trait, grossly generalized of course and applied to the common laborer, and not necessarily a product of the Soviet system.

The notion of individualism - fighting much less dying for individual freedom was foreign, without question the product of 73 years of their former system but also part of the reason for its original acceptance; they were content with guaranteed work, housing, and vodka to numb everything. It's the classic case study for the choice of security over freedom. The relevance of all this is, what about us? Is this what we want, too? Were the Soviets truly happy under that system - without the aid of their vodka?

Correct,,,But,,,

Americans are not 1917 Russians,,,

We have a history of defending this country,,,

I see no way this country could be “taken” at this point,,,

Remember when CWI started that Robert E. Lee went SOUTH,,,

This won’t be a North~South thing...
