They will pass it just like they passed the bailout bill that none of us wanted since they can’t hear us it seems in the media. I refuse to be part of any civilian force unless drafted and then it will be with a fight. But I don’t think they want many mid to late 40 year old lawyers anyway. And for it be funded as much as the military is not saying much.
It seems the US military has been struggling for some time to contain a bunch of bed-sheet clad yahoos in Afghanistan and Iraq. It would be a nightmare if the military had to try to suppress a domestic uprising consisting of 75,000,000 US gun owners who were p*ssed off about losing their country. If Afghanistan and Iraq can fight for their country, so can we.
It would be a lot simpler if we just elected McCain next week. Who needs a civil war?

Obama would have to replace the current US military personel in charge of our nukes with a few thousand of his own hand picked people, maybe from farakhan’s army.
then with the nuclear codes, he could order a strike against the US without any help from the current US military who would never participate, but then Obama would not need their help.
the only real problem would be the US submarine fleet. Obama would probably not be able to have enough people trained to run a sub to take over the trident’s nukes.
And you can even drink and FReep, and not have to worry about DUI on the way home. It does cut down on your debating and typing skills though.
People, I don’t understand..why is this national security force just coming to light NOW???? I looked it up on line and saw it all over the internet in July, then NOT A THING until the last 2 days...what changed, why is this huge now???

I love it when my fellow conservatives express such confidence in the American people. Sadly, the reality is that this nation will succumb rather quickly under the right circumstances and careful application of the combined weapons of isolation, starvation, and confiscation. If you think an election with such different candidates can cause civil division, imagine what isolationa nd starvation will do to polarize the people. There will be two camps of ‘we the people’, and you can guess which side the Marxist central authority will use to ferret out the other side, ‘to establish peace and end pockets of starvation and suffering’.

No way this will fly.
ONE: Few thousand people? Replacement will not happen overnight.
TWO: Training? You think the people that train others how to deploy and fire nuclear weapons wouldn't notice a boatload of melanin-enhanced trainees with attitudes?
THREE: You're pre-supposing that the executors of that National Command Authority (Generals, colonels, majors) would not immediately recognize this as a nuclear armed coup-d'-etat in progress and start resisting.
OUCH ... yeah that would be a big achille's heel for us.
You make some good points in post 257.
I think the final point maybe that there may be a further failsafe that the public is unaware of (and maybe even potus is unaware of). That is it may take more than the missle operators and the president’s order and computer codes to fire the missles. It would be the final check and balance.
Nevertheless, this really is the only avenue for conquest of the US and that is from within and by potus and control of the US nuclear arsenal.
