Isn’t it a shame that we have become like those first Christians, hiding in caves and whispering “passwords” to each other in the streets because of “political correctness”?

Where I live, there is [or should say *was*] -1- OB sign.

It was put up a month and half ago.

In the last month, McCain signs have been springing up like dandelions on a summer lawn.

That one OB sign started to look like the guest of honor at a firing squad.

I noticed last week that it is now just gone.

And no, no one here would’ve taken it or otherwise molested it...it’s just not our way.

I don’t know if the owner of it “changed” his mind or just started feeling really, *really* surrounded and paranoid.

Whatever the case, I’m overjoyed that I no longer have that irritated wave of nausea while passing it on the way to town.

Here, if you seem to be vacillating, people will just bellow at you “You’re not voting McCain? Why the hell not?”.

[If you still seem iffy, you’ll get a laundry list of reasons why you’re an idiot]....LOL

I hope I always live in a place of such unabashed freedom.

[and I’m voting against Zero to make sure of it]

Oh my gosh, I thought that was just me and my silly self!

I see this one house that is covered up with Obama signs and I just get an ugh feeling. Wouldn’t bother anything of theirs or even confront them in any way, but just feel ugh.

The more they put Obama stuff up, the more I think they are egging on McCain supporters. That is how it seems to me. Like they are waving and jumping up and down and wanting attention to be confrontational. The fact that they keep adding lets me know that *my* side is behaving and I’m proud of them for that.

I just came back from a meeting of the Catholic Medical Association in “Balmer” (sic). I had spent several months there in 1983 for some additional training in forensic medicine with a national expert. I must say I don’t care much for the city any longer. But I did like the western part of the state. I can’t say I’ve ever been out as far west as Cumberland though. Is that your area?

Sounds like my kind of place Salamander? I've got four Obama signs on my street, all union. Good neighbors, just not too bright?
