Just thinking out loud: what if the GOP pushed an emergency private relief bill designed to make her a legal resident? Yes, that would set a bad precedent, and it would make them look opportunistic. But, it would also highlight the issue. Anyone else have thoughts on that?
Bad idea - they didn’t create the problem and shouldn’t step in to clear it up. The burden of rectifying this has to be on Obama. IF WE HAD A REAL MEDIA, THEY WOULD ASK HIM DIRECTLY WHAT HE KNOWS AND WHAT HE’S GONNA DO ABOUT IT.
What am I saying....if asked about this, Obama would only say he doesn’t know anything about it and he’s not responsible for her acts.
Compasionate idea — but at this juncture, would be percieved as too political. Might backfire.
The creation of a Legal Defense Fund for her by someone capable of getting publicity for it would be helpful... and then you could talk about all of the dollars raised to help her and point out that “we are still waiting for a check from Barack and Michelle Obama but they haven’t been in touch.”
It is not clear when Ms Onyango first came to the US. She said: I have been coming to America ever since 1975. I always come and go.
She is a frail woman who walks with the aid of a metal stick. Neighbours said that she lived alone in a ground-floor flat normally set aside for people facing physical hardship.
A staff member at the Boston Housing Authority office, 50 yards from her house, said Ms Onynango had been a volunteer resident health advocate between December 2007 and August this year. She worked six hours a week for a small stipend. Records show she used the housing authoritys address to make her campaign contribution.
GEEZ, I thought she was a frail old woman not able to work! She's 56! Living here illegally and living on welfare, gov't housing, food stamps and free medical, no doubt!!
Most interesting.
no. The GOP needs to stop kissing leftist ass. Stop being “ nice “ and start kicking some ass.
You’re joking, right? That’s wrong on so many levels, and I shouldn’t have to mention how it betrays our core principles.
She should be deported. If Obama wants her in the country, he can sponsor her re-application from Kenya.
