He did better in 2004 when he was off by only 1.4%
If you look at both 2000 and 2004, TIPP and CBS News are the clear winners. In 2000, CBS News was off by .5% and TIPP was off by 1%. In 2004, TIPP was off by .3% and CBS News was off by .4%.
CBS, your favorite pollster, was off by 10% in 1996. They had Clinton up by 20 to 30 points for most of the campaign.
