They’re out to find kids with lots of candy so they can give it to kids that don’t have much.
I disagree. Just because they are classless jerks doesn't mean we have to be that way as well. It doesn't really accomplish anything anyway.
There is a lot of room to cut him and his cause down with satire, humor and anything else that we can manage, but the kids shouldn't come into play. I think we all know that.
When you have a contingent of S.S. agents, you can do whatever you want, whenever you want, wherever you want!!!
That’s not trick or treating, they’re off to somewhere.
She has no bag for candy.
Men in black with tools.
One doesn't have to be very astute to recognize this manifestation of body language. He is not very happy in this picture.
Then what it the hell do you think of the Palin children? If Obama is using his kids, Palin has prostituted hers!
Get some balance. The kid needs to be left alone. If he wanted his kids in the media, they'd be on stage all the time like the Palin kids. After all, they're very cute!
IIRC, it was something to do with the girls being so "fortunate" that they do elaborate sleepovers for birthdays, but nothing else.
So do a smaller b-day party and get your kids a couple of Christmas presents...IMO.
He’s not expecting his daughter to “spread her wealth around”. He’s keeping all his stuff. That’s why his aunt and step-brother are living in poverty. He wants US to pay for them. He wants everyone elses children to share not his - he’s special!
nope i disagree he could have stayed home
Trig was adorable!
Did you see on Drudge that Zogby has McCain ahead 48% to 47% in a single days polling?
Someone is going to have to re-post the story. Was it that the sleepovers are extravagant but they also get no birthday presents?
Yep, I agree.
Why shouldn’t he take his daughter out? That’s ridiculous. Punish the kid? That’s so unfair. I think all politicians should be able to set the rules on how much media exposure their kids get. Within reason, of course.
Sasha Obama with tool.

Are You Going to Help?
Theres still time to help elect John McCain and Sarah Palin. This past weekend, I made phone calls through the volunteer online phone bank. I admit, I was uncomfortable cold-calling complete strangers on a Sunday afternoon. But it was ultimately a rewarding experience. There were people who still claimed to be undecided. There were also several Republicans who sounded like they needed a little encouragement to go to the polls. I like to think I made a difference.
In the middle of the afternoon, I blegged for advice because I was having a hard time talking to answering machines. As I expected, the wisdom of crowds made things much easier.
Please consider making phone calls on behalf of McCain/Palin 2008 in the next few days. The process is very easy. Sign up at the top link above (Im fairly certain you dont even have to use a real email addy if you dont want to get GOP emails) and within minutes the website will provide you with names, locations, phone numbers and scripts. (I think the hours are from 9am to 9pm Eastern.)
You generally get to choose the state youd like to make calls to, so if you have free long distance like me, you can help out with some of the battleground states. My suggestions are Colorado, Ohio, Virginia, and Pennsylvania.
Im tucking some advice from last weekend under the fold. Read it first and then get calling. I challenge each of you to make at least twenty phone calls. It wont take that long and it may make a difference on Tuesday. Im going to be calling again this weekend too.
Later: I want to emphasize that you can make calls from the comfort of your own home. This is so easy to do, theres just no excuse for not helping.
Get the names and numbers from the McCain/Palin website. Call in between loads of laundry. Call while youre waiting for dinner to be done. Call after you put the tot down for her afternoon nap. Do what I did and call while youre blogging. I know you guys spend countless hours just sitting in front of your computer. You could use a little of that time to call voters.
SNAP! I must be a hypocrite because I thought the Chase Utley video was crass, lol.
Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) tells People magazine in the issue out Friday that he and his wife, Michelle, do not give Christmas or birthday presents to their two young daughters.
Obama tells the magazines Sandra Sobieraj Westfall in a seven-page cover story that he and his wife follow the unusual practice because they want to teach some limits.
In the interview earlier this summer, Obama noted that they do spend hundreds of dollars on birthday slumber parties. Michelle Obama told People: Malia says, I know there is a Santa because theres no way youd buy me all that stuff.
Yup, they left out the real prop.
Not ready for prime time.
Well, we get our kids one present, but prefer to spend our money on the celebrations as well. At the end of the day, time spent with friends and family is what I want my kids to remember. I don’t think they’ll remember the junk they got 20 years later, anyway.
