You may be right as to it’s origins, but I think it is no fantasy. I think it is close to the mark.
I would attribute it to a well informed Mac supporter trying to “immunize” the faithful against defeatism. All the points are valid if not exact and by writing it and presenting it in this way, it’s potential impact among McCain/Palin supporters is much greater.
