At the time of the 9/11 attacks, I was a couple of other forums of a nonpolitical nature. One was for Rescue Akitas. The conversation, of course, went OT and the moderator joined in. The information was mostly about “What Is Islam?”, the Koran, Islamism, etc. As soon as the word *Islamicist* was used, in jumped someone to chastise everyone for being a bigot. I searched him, because his name was familiar and he was a lefty who had written a denigrating books about Rush. I posted this information and he went on a whine about how I must hate *journalists* (only in his own mind). But, he squelched the public conversation. However, the back channel communication heated up and most of the posters agreed with the information found on radical Islam and the Koran and we had some good email exchanges in private.
They aren't just trolls looking to suppress the vote. They are minders and they take names and compile personal info. On a sailing list where my husband posts under his name/his boat's name and posts pics of the boat(s), dog, house, et al, suddenly there has been an explosion of these nannies. I asked him to stop posting on the political part of the forum because they know who we are and where we live and I am fearful of real physical retaliation. DH heard this on Rush earlier and said he was glad he had sworn off that political forum.
Let this information go out to everyone we know. It just shows them up for the Brownshirts that they are.
I have been reading about how many government workers accessed information on “Joe the Plumber” in Ohio. It’s past the brown shirt routine. If we can expect this on just a small percentage of democrats, then they truly have the makings of total fascism.
As to your statement about Islam, we have been getting a watered down and edited version from the LW media. To say that this is a peaceful faith that has a few radicals who are abusing it, and comparing it to the Crusades, when the muslim controlled Media fails to acknowledge is it was radical Islam that started the Crusades. If not for Islam, none of this would have ever happened. If Mohammad had never been born, there would be world peace today
