Yes, I have a list of suspect “FReepers”. However, I do not post it indiscriminately. I post it when asked to do so or when the subject is front and center.
You may disagree with my method of “outing” trolls. But, I think my reasons are sound and, thus, I will not cease until this election is (mercifully) over.
The attacks upon unsuspecting, well meaning FReepers is so virulent and pernicious I simply do not believe that the traditional, gentile, methods of dealing with them are effective.
As Rush said yesterday, it is highly likely that there are well organized (perhaps even paid) teams of underminers here and on other Conservative sites.
They prey upon sincere FReepers without remorse, destroying first their enthusiasm, then their resolve. I will not stand idly by and let them do so with impunity.
Again, I'm sorry you were dragged into this fight against your wishes.

FR gets its fair share of real trolls and they are outed quite quickly, IMO.
I guess I would caution you in the future to not confuse honest disagreement with troll-ness.
Argue the issues. Argue the facts. Attempting to silence dissent does nothing to win over those who do not agree with you — it probably just reinforces their convictions. Allow others the freedom to voice their opinions — otherwise you will inevitably succumb to (or become) the very enemy that most of us are fighting.
