I never thought this got enough play. Especially with the caviar etc. It would have really reenforced his redistribution of wealth philosophy. I think Americans would have balked at this kind of collective thinking.
However, I posted, sent to Sean, Rush, McCain and so did a lot of other people but it never really took off.

I like to think of Republicans and conservatives as the bakers, while the Democrats and liberals are the servers. The secret to everyone getting their ‘fair share’ of the pie for a conservative is to bake enough for everyone. If you run out, bake another, and another. To the liberal the fair share must be carved out of the original pie. No thought to baking a bigger pie or more pies, just how to fairly divvy up what’s there.

The result? Same pie, but it just costs more. The poor that got the extra piece of pie? It is negated with the increased cost of pies.
There isn't any more pie than when we started. There is less because the increased cost of the pie, means people will cross it off their list and buy a bag of beans or rice instead.
Who wins? The government as more money is churned through their sticky fingers and consumes ever more of our sustenance, producing nothing of value.

Of course, the Obama’s are as stingy as most Liberals. My family gave 3 time the percent of our income to charity as the Obama’s did over the last few years, and our income is a fraction of theirs!

Great extrapolation of the idea! Government is finding out now that the more they grind down production the less they take in taxes. Sure, they can raise taxes to try to get more from the same pie, but sooner or later, as you point out, people simply take pie off their shopping list.
I wish I knew what it is in the thinking process of a liberal that makes them absolutely unable to realize the link between effort and reward.
What would the shared worldview of Jeremiah Wright and Barack Obama indicate about that?
