OK. But I think your post deserves a little more emphasis here.
If Obama was among his radical Muslim/Communist friends, and if he was a little drunk with good fellowship, he could have said almost anything.
Remember "bitterly clinging to guns and religion" when he thought he was speaking privately to his rich leftist Hollywood pals. I think that little phrase cost him something. At this dinner he was speaking to a far worse group than the naive leftists in Hollywood.
In the photo where Michelle has on the orange tarpaulin and Obama is seated next to Ed Said there is a beer stein in front of him, so he does drink. There is also another stein on the table if I recall correctly.
