RASMUSSEN Shock: Obama Lead Down to 3 Points... Developing...
Garde la Foi, mes amis! Nous nous sommes les sauveurs de la République! Maintenant et Toujours!
(Keep the Faith, my friends! We are the saviors of the Republic! Now and Forever!)
LonePalm, le Républicain du verre cassé (The Broken Glass Republican)
With Democrat oversampling... McCain is going to pull this off and they know it. They can produce all the polls they want with Obama up by double digits, but it won’t fly come election day.
It’s about time that they started preparing the news media and the left-wing for a big letdown on election day. I’d hate to see any of them jump out a window.
I am sure its taped, can’t imagine that dippy would do a live show with all the risk.
Anti-War Democrats should not waste their votes for Obama. After all, Obama has this thing in the bag, anyway.
Obama has backed away for his call for an immediate withdrawl from Iraq, and is even talking about increasing troop levels in Afghanistan. Now Joe Biden is saying we will probably be involved in a whole new war within six months of Obama being sworn in. A vote for Obama is a vote for more war.
Now, if Obama needed the votes to beat John McCain, an anti-War Democrat might be justified in picking the more anti-War candidate of the two. But Obama is up by twenty points across-the-board, so there is no reason to pick the lesser of two evils.
Anti-War Democrats should take this opportunity to cast a strong symbolic vote for the only truly anti-War candidate in the race, Ralph Nader. Nader is calling for an immediate withdrawl from both Iraq and Afghanistan, and would reduce the military budgets to the point where fighting future wars is not even an option. Nader would put an end to American adventurism and imperialism, once and for all.
Tell you anti-War friends, don’t waste your vote on Obama. Vote Nader in 2008!
I fear Obambi’s infomercial tonight will hurt us. I hope I’m wrong.
SHUT UP/s
Woo Hooo!
Matthews is a loon, working for a network that is watched by loons. MSNBC has no credibility. Shun it.
Hurt us. Are you kidding, its going to make him look like a jack ass. His “all about me” is getting old. ANd when you take away their TV at night to preach. NOT GOOD. I think in the morning all will be laughing at him, MSM too.
Rush said that the polls would tighten with one week left. So he was off by a day. That’s still not too shabby.
Rass is now going for ACCURACY vs PROPAGANDA!
Having him deliver a 30 minute sermon tonight in his usual from-Mt.Sinia style ought to finish him off. Wonder if the networks will provide that reverberation that Rush was noting a couple of days ago...the effect that makes BO sound like God?
That's not how it works... State polls are lagging indicators, but only until a state poll is done... meaning... This Ras poll just came out... If it shows a tightening, than a state poll done a few days ago is irrelevant... If you did a state poll concurrent with the national poll, they should be roughly consistent...
The best analogy I can think of is stock prices... If you quote a price for GE stock from a week ago, and the market jumps 300 points, then the best indicator of how the market's doing is the INDEX... You can make a guess that if the market shoots up, GE probablywill as well... If you look up the price of GE, then THAT becomes more relevant than the overall market level, for that stock.
Does that make any sense?
No shock here. Rush Limbaugh called it.
Plus, these pollsters are not really mentioning what happened on Monday, the release of the 2001 radio interview. With this 2001 interview, gasoline has been poured on McCain’s momentum especially as they focus on the ecomony and Joe the Plumber incident which has had traction ever since. McCain / Palin most definitely has alot of momentum now.
Also, the GOP PAC TV ads on Rev. Wright that begun on Monday in the swing states.
The pollsters are (1) oversampling the dems (2) Not acknowledgeing that McCain has the MO and (3) not acknowledging the effectiveness of the 2001 radio interview.
It would be good to do this a couple of times so that every election we can see this trend (the lib Dem up by double digits 2 weeks out and the gap narrowing toward election day) repeat.
