COLUMBIA, S.C.A group supporting U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham's opponent in next week's election said Monday it would pay to broadcast ads showing the Republican senator referring to immigration critics as "bigots."
The ad shows him telling a Latino group that supporters of a 2007 immigration law overhaul effort were "going to tell the bigots to shut up."

Too bad Conley is running as a Democrat...
couldnt happen to a nicer guy!
As long as the DEMS don’t get to 60, I’d love to see this guy get canned. I wonder if he will come “out” after it happens.
At this point we need all the friends we can get even if they are marginal. The time to beat these guys is in the primaries.
The problem is that...Lindsey Graham is not a friend to conservatives.
Graham will win as usual. But this is one of the DEM levers I’m pulling (and I’ve never done that before). At least if I vote for a DEM I can trust how they’ll act, you can’t tell with Graham. So my vote is a “no” vote for Graham, and maybe if the margin is a few votes tighter, he’ll think twice before he joins another “gang” (he’s already a member of two of them!)
I’m voting against Joe Wilson (R) for the same reason. He voted for the bailout the first time, then again after they put $150,000,000 in pork. I hate voting Dem, but we’ve got to let “our” people know they need to do what WE want. Shame on all of them!
Graham will win and should win comfortably. This is not an election for stupidity in the ranks. If we want these guys gone we knock them out in the primaries.
That’s crazy talk in this context, imho. Vote these guys out in the primaries.
In my opinion, it is this line of thinking that continues to move the Republican Party further and further to the left. Senators like Graham become more and more liberal in their views because their constituents refuse to hold them accountable. Screw that. I’m voting for Flat Top Bob.
His defeat might be one of the bright spots in this miserable campaign. His sycophantic devotion to John McCain, I think, only entrenched McCain's view of being right on immigration, judges, campaign finance. And McCain was SO wrong.
vaudine
We are confronted with a radical left in control of the govt. Socialism is their faith. They want to tax one group and give the money to another group. They are discussing 25% reductions in military spending. They are discussing taking over 401K's and making them a part of the social security admn. They want to eliminate the cap on social security taxes (making it a welfare program). They want judges who will "invent law" and feel free to redistribute wealth. They want to control the airways and eliminate talk radio.
In the face of this challenge we need all the allies we can get. The USSR didn't look so bad when we were fighting the Nazi's. It was after that war that we had to deal with them.
Were it not for the fact that the Dems are trying to build a super-majority, I wouldn’t mind seeing the RINO with a woman’s name gone. He is awful.
Since I’m working as a roving technician for the polls next Tues, I voted today.
And I, very reluctantly, voted for Pandsey.
I plan to write him a letter explaining that I did vote for him and explaining my reluctance. Probably won’t do any good since he, like most senators, is an ignorant SOB, but I’ll feel somewhat better.
