John Wooden sits in the same booth, at the same coffee shop at the same time every morning. The only thing that might change from time to time is his order.
"I like the No. 1 which is two eggs, two hotcakes and two slices of bacon or sausage," he says. "They also have the No. 2 which is two eggs, two slices of bacon or sausage with a choice of toast or biscuit and gravy. I usually get one of those two."

A marvelous story about a marvelous man. John Wooden is one of the finest men ever to walk the earth.
Awesome article. I am e-mailing this one to my dad who is a big John Wooden fan. I can remember my dad quoting Wooden to me as a teenager when he said, “Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is who you really are, while your reputation is merely who others think you are.”

I’m glad that I found this article. It brings a bit of clarity to us during this most relentless election season.
He is physically and mentally in top shape and just a great guy to be around. I love seeing the world through his eyes and his experiences.
