Abortion, Gays, and Guns have not been a key point in this campaign. McCain did well in Saddlebrook forum, but hasn’t done much with these issues since.

Obama would attempt to negate the 2nd amendment with edicts, circumventing the Constitutionally required process of changing it. Obama is a Marxist, radical socialist, and virtually all socialist dictators have made sure that the citizens don’t have guns. Under Hitler’s National Socialist Party (Nazi), or Stalin’s Communist Party, or Castro’s Communist Cuba, the people could not have their own weapons. If the did, they might have risen up and thrown out their murderous tyrants.
Every American who is eligible (most of us) should buy at least one gun Now and learn how to use it. If you already own a gun, buy another one. This will send a clear message to Obama, the rest of the Demo Socialists, and the other crooks. “The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.”
If Obama wins, I predict the congress under pelosi/Reid won’t be able to restrain themselves. Look for a new AWB and whole bunch of new reasonable restrictions.
That you ask proves how effective the MSM has been in throttling any anti-Obama memes. The NRA has been screaming in every way they can that Obama is the most dangerous individual to gun rights ever to run for elective office, and that any gun-owner who votes for him is a damned fool.

It looks like many people got a clue over a year ago. Rat primaries have become very revealing. The question is, "Who's interested"? We'll see what happens next Tuesday.

In 2008, there were 8.4 million background checks from Jan. 1 to Sept. 28, compared with 7.7 million in the same period last year, a 9 percent increase, according to the FBI's National Instant Criminal Background Check System.The increase is also notable because it follows a heavy year for gun purchases, which industry officials and experts link to the Virginia Tech shootings in April 2007 and a burgeoning housing market crisis. NICS checks show a 20 percent increase in April 2007, compared with the previous year.
Those are interesting numbers.

Does anyone here know just how many Americans belong to the NRA? I went to their website but couldn’t find out. I can’t imagine any NRA member voting for Osama.
McCain has never been big on social issues. I was shocked that he got the nomination. If he wins, I think he'll be fighting with social conservatives from day one. If he wins, it will be because Yobama is truly scary.
I was curious about that too... Wikipedia says 4.1 million, but the "About Us" page on nra.org refers to "our nearly three million members". I'm hoping the number's closer to 4.1 million.
