Another take on the polls

After mocking the hell out of the voter id spreads used by Rassmussen, Zogby, etc. (and this is coming from a committed Dem who will be voting for Barry O) she said the results of their polling lead her to believe that McCain will definitely win FL, OH, NC, MO and NV.

I will never believe Virginia is blue. Matthew Dowd was on Larry King demoralizing Republicans saying Virginia would flip quickly.

I will never believe that. A state with +3 rep in 2006 is probably still +1 to even now in party identification and the independents broke for a little more than 10 for Webb in 2006 and it was still a close election.

McCain’s main job is to keep Obama at 47-48 while maintaining himself at 44+ by election day and get the ground game gunning. I would feel more confident about this if he had a solid negative advertising campaign but the MSM has already recruited RINOS to insult him for even trying doing that.

Gergen, Powell, Noonan, and Parker can kiss my ass. Beltway conservative have been drinking the kool aid for too long.

Its winnable, but without negative advertising, McCain is only using the limited tools that made Dole, Ford, and Bush senior lose, and will need a major foreign policy issue to come up before election day.

I was just poking around RCP, the last poll there, Mason Dixon had Obama up +2, within MOE.

Mac was up in MO as well, but as usual, Rasmussen comes out with a poll that completely deviates from the norm, so the average is screwey.

Don’t know, the way I see it, Mac is down on average about 4-5% in most of the battle ground states by the RCP averages, but there is normally one poll that just skewers the average.

For example, in CO Mac was closing, a local CBS poll came out showing Obama up by 10% and the gap grows back out to 5%.

The MSM is so in the tank. All of their polling shows +10 to 13 D which will never be in the case of formerly red states like VA, MO, and Colorado.

McCain just needs to get Independents back to single digits and all of the red states are safe: NC, VA, and MO.

If he wins independents than he will probably win NH and CO and bank the election.

I’m not sure how a PA victory will work. He has to really run stronger anti-abortion ads in Western and NE PA and keep the philadelphia suburbs competitive.

I hope Bush is using his authority to have the FBI and our crime-fighting apparatus combat voter fraud. McCain will definitely need the help.

I lived in VA for quite awhile. I find it hard to believe that white democrats in the south will vote for Barry. That is the old, old south down there. It’s not pretty, but it’s the truth.

I am surprised at how long the MSM has kept up the propaganda and skewed polls. I guess they are really in the tank this time. So much so that they don't even care if the final result is way different than the picture they have been painting. A McCain victory might help put a stop to this in the future. Might. But an Obama victory will change U.S. elections forever.

Well, from what i’ve seen, CO looks like it could be in the tank for Barry, and Virginia looks to be a close one that he gets also.

Getting CO, VA, and NH is asking for a lot.

I hope we get PA. I really, really hope we do. Being next door to PA, and seeing what i’ve seen, its very, very possible.

I have no idea, but Tennessee will go for McCain.
