Yep, I remember. I wasn’t refering to the final election I was refering to the Primaries, ALL of his competition got eliminated, including the INCUMBENT, on technicalities in the Petition signatures required to RUN in the primaries. It was Chicago Politics at its finest.
That is not what happened in the Senatorial race. He had competition throughout and was not expected to win. The expected winner was a wealthy businessman, Blair Hull, who was prevented from winning by the timely revelation of a sexual harassment suit against him and some dirty divorce laundry if I am not mistaken. The other of the three top candidates on the Democrat ballot for Senator was Daniel Hynes.
