You tell me what is conservative about Sarah Palin other than not wanting to murder the unborn. And, even on that topic she is not planning to lift a finger as VP.

Her state is funded by the sale of state property (oil) rather than taxes, and she has endeavored both to get a good price for the state's property and to avoid reckless spending so that some of the proceeds from the sale can be returned to taxpayers.

I suppose one could argue that the state should only sell sufficient oil to meet its revenue needs(*), or that it should invest the proceeds somehow rather than giving them to taxpayers, but someone like Obama would have instead tried to figure out what sort of spending programs he could create to use up all the oil revenue and then some, so he'd have justification to tax the "wealthy".

Besides, you also left off the fact that Gov. Palin is pro-Second Amendment. That's definitely a conservative issue, is it not? She also does not seem to be friends with Ayers, Wright, et al. That should count for something.

On life issues and the Second Amendment, she's 100% conservative. Fiscally, she's much better than Obama. Why are you calling her a RINO?

(*) Note that it would do this by raising the price it charged for oil so as to reduce the quantity demanded; some conservatives would probably regard such a move as "raising taxes".

PS -- Although the cause of feminism has been superseded by liberalism, such that most so-called feminists are liberals first and feminists second (to the extent that liberalism takes priority over everything the feminists supposedly stand for), that does not imply that everything about feminism is anti-conservative. Title IX has some severe problems with implementation (reminds me of a park that installed two toilets and two urinals in the men's rest room, and likewise two toilets and two urinals in the women's) but Sarah Palin did receive benefit from it and I would not expect her to alter it in such a way that a woman like her could not receive benefit from it. On the other hand, I see no reason to expect that Gov. Palin would oppose eliminating the effective requirement that women's programs be funded in such fashion as to exceed the demand therefor.

That’s socialism you’re talkin’.

Affirmative action forced on the states by big brother. Same as abortion, daycare, homosexuality, welfare, health care - all the things Feminists want when single mothers dump the fathers and need government help to raise their kids.
