I don’t even take this poll seriously. But just for fun, I did read the pdf of the poll. It’s worthless. It is impossible to tell who they polled. For all I know, they polled their own newsroom.

Actually, the pdf pretty much lost me in its very first sentence, when it referred to something called “Saksgate.” I guess some jerk thought it was cute to say that in a poll where we are supposed to trust them for being fair, impartial, and objective in conducting this BS poll and reporting their results. Forget it. What ABC is doing is not conducting a poll, but trying to defraud Republicans into believing that further voting is futile while also being unfairly malicious towards the one person who is probably most responsible for helping McCain keep the race as close as it actually is.

That's bad news for Obama. If the party ID is the same on Election Day, he will lose. What is clear is the Democrats do not have the 4+, 5+ or 10+ voter ID advantage ascribed to them in the polls.

So we are to believe that some who were going to vote for McCain have decided to switch to Obambi because of Palin on the GOP ticket ? Bravo Sierra .

Sarah Palin is the main reason why so many base GOP voters are voting for McCain and giving his campaign lots of money. This is why the Obama campaign and its adoring media hate her so much and act so maliciously towards her and her family.

The point is even with overloading polls with Democrats, Obama is not up by 20+. Now I know what David Axelrod said but if the election is in the bag for Obama, it should be apparent in early voter turnout. That doesn't appear to be happening.

Well we are along the I-75 corridor and most of the voters standing in line seemed to be voting for McCain/Palin.

I’m hoping a heavy turnout will favor McCain, similar to what happened in 04 when everyone said a heavy turnout dictated a win for Kerry!

It doesn't really surprise me that they're doing a hatchet job on her daily as she is really hurting them daily and that's just what they do. The question in my mind is how the vast majority of people, whom are very happy to see her on the political scene, will react when they see these hit pieces.
I'm sure the kool-aid drinkers will think that even though they really like her, there must be something wrong with her because the herd says so. My hope is that most will see “the man behind the curtain” at ABC and the like and trust them, their smears and their polls less and less. As you can clearly see, I'm an optimist.
BTW, my girlfriend has been leaning toward Obama for some time. She, like alot of people, doesn't like politics and I waited until the election was close at hand to talk to her about it in detail. It didn't take even a day to convince her that Obama is a very scary option. She is now strongly in the McCain/Palin camp.
I think there are many more people like her than we are led to believe. IMHO, many of the people that were undecided in June are still making up their minds. FReepers, we need to get out there NOW and get the truth to these truly undecided voters!

That the key to FL. I think it'll be close but in the end McCain will carry FL.

The best guage of what's going on is how big a crowd they are drawing. McCain and Palin have consistently had between 15-60 thousand everywhere. Obama has to draw people to his ralleys with freebies. And the Congressional pols are switching also.

Sarah has 2 purposes. One is to flush out the RINOs. The other is to scare the media that people like that exist. McCain wont be a RINO when he gets the intelligence briefs in the morning. Those Muslims are very scared of him.

Person who runs Redstate recounted a lunch with an Obama person who told him they can’t be comfortable with the polls as the Sarah effect is impacting so many people outside the usual boundaries of voting they have no idea how to fit it into their calculations.

The reason many of us were cheering when she came out the night of the convention was because we already knew exactly that.

And now the opposition does too. And they hate her guts for it.

What I like about Sarah is that she pulled out the sword. In boots or high heels. And she told the critics of her as being infantile and sloppy. Guys love strong women. Alaska might be the place to visit.

“The low numbers regarding the question about not relating to average people??? WTH??? That number blows me away... I also still don’t understand the women gap either.”

It’s not a women gap, but racism. Blacks are the only significant demographic group who don’t like Sarah Palin. ABC doesn’t dare publish its internals on the Sarah Palin question because this racism would then be exposed to the light of day for what it is. But now you know.

Yesterday’s Battleground poll, which oversamples Democrats but just barely (so it’s still a pretty good poll), reports the following favorable-unfavorable ratings for Sarah Palin. I break this down into excruciating detail to make my point:

Overall: 51-42
Whites: 56-39
White men: 58-36
White women: 53-420
Hispanics: 56-32
Hispanic men: 62-32
Hispanic women: 49-43
Other races besides blacks: 55-31 (breakdown by gender n/a)

All excellent numbers so far. But now we need to bring in the Sarah haters:

Blacks: 12-73
Black men: 13-61
Black women: 11-82

You got that? Sarah Palin scores 49 or better in every racial/gender group except one: blacks. Obama and his adoring media will tell us that this isn’t racism and that PDS has its roots in something other than racism. But these numbers don’t lie. This is what the media is attempting to spin in polls such as ABC’s latest BS of a writeup. And had it published its internals, as any honest pollster would have done, we would have immediately spotted the petty racist hatred for what it is.

Incidentally, here is also the breakdown of Sarah’s favorable/unfavorable ratings by a few other groups — more insight into who loves Sarah and who hates her:

Republicans: 89-6 (McCain scores 93-6)
Independents: 47-39 (McCain scores 56-36)
Democrats: 19-74 (McCain scores 20-76 — interesting)

Interesting. How did you come up with those demographic breakdowns?
