At least Griffin admitted it. I didn’t think he was going to.

I agree, and in this half apology she says as much. When she says she never really “explained” the article, it shows that she knew she was misquoting it.
So, she admits to being sleazy and dishonest. Very nice.
To: kddid
Said Griffin, I never really explained the point of the National Review before she finished answering the question. It was Palin's fault. After he said his question, he stopped talking, so she stupidly thought he was through asking the question so she answered. Duh.

So Griffin acknowledges he understood the York article, yet let Palin squirm with phony slanders from conservatives?

Fear not Ann. They couldn’t destroy Reagan, they won’t destroy Palin. Goodness, again, will trump malice.

In no way did I intend to misquote The National Review. In the mid 1980s, Steve Taylor wrote a song called "Meat the Press" in which he said the following:
When the ratings point the camera's eye
They can state the facts while telling a lie
They can silence those who fall from their grace
With a note that says 'We haven't the space'
Now lookie there, the dog's asleep
Whenever WE march or say a peep
A Christian can't get equal time
Unless he's a loonie committing a crime....
Remarkably prescient, that Steve Taylor guy. Stating the facts while telling a lie has gone past an art form and moved into de riguer for the media.

It was Palin's fault. After he said his question, he stopped talking, so she stupidly thought he was through asking the question so she answered. Duh. She's so stupid. Did you know she was so stupid, she wanted to look good on the campaign trail? Then she compounded her idiocy by buying clothes for campaign-related reasons from campaign funds.
What an idiot.

Griffin says, In no way did I intend to misquote The National Review.
Lies on top of lies! What was his “intent” other than to distort was written?
Kerry’s “botched joke” was passed off as innocent too and we all know he meant what he said. Griffin just claims, “I botched it,” and it is passed off too?
Little wonder I stopped watching and reading the Nationalist media long ago.
