I disagree. I think McCain should say, (a) He really hopes that she gets the help she needs (he has); and (b) he denounces and rejects race-baiting of any kind. Whatever her mental condition, her behaviour was detestable.

He could turn this into a positive with a strong “denounciation” statement like that.

I like that except for the inclusion of “race-baiting”
McCain would give the impression that when anyone speaks out against Obama, they are race-baiting.

He could do all the above but leave out the buzz words!
