While the MSM is looking for every opportunity to tear down McCain and Palin, short of the moveon types playing it up, this should only be a one-day story. Fortunately, most reasonable people realize this has nothing to do with McCain personally. Any person who is ignorant enough to base their vote on this is already voting for Obama.

Exactly. I don’t understand some of the hyperventilating, claiming that this somehow hurts McCain’s chances. How? Given that other attacks on McCain supporters ARE true, I don’t see how this in any way harms the McCain campaign.

It won't be. You had the Fox News Vice President saying this would damage McCain's campaign if it was a hoax. You have the media discussing how fast Palin and McCain called her up before all of the facts came in. The media doesn't want to simply say she's mentally ill and let it go.
