It wasn’t jumping to conclusions. People were making skeptical statements based off of the picture which did not substantiate her claims. Hell, even after a facial plastic surgeon weighed in on this, folks still wanted to drink the coolaid.
That's how it's supposed to work. Knee-jerkers on either side were equally as stupid.
Again, this WILL hurt Obama. This story made the rounds of the internet and in many people’s minds, it is a very real scenario. Whatever damage done to McCain will be negated by the very real doubts people (like my Grandmother who has ALWAYS voted Democrat) have about Hussein.
