Unfortunately, I heard that same line of reasoning on another radio show, when it drops it is hurting McCain, maybe their reasoning is it is hurting the incumbent party.

I wish someone in the Republican party would have enough sense to run an ad or two about how much money the American people have lost since the Democrats took control of Congress, 3 Trillion $?, 4 Trillion ?
