I actually hven’t sent them a dime or gift in some time. I am so fed up with their attitudes. But then again my 88 year old mother voted for BO, this from a Catholic woman, because McCain is a war monger!

I have a client in Massachusetts who won’t vote for McCain for the same “warmonger” reason. She says he’s “too much like Bush, and I was always afraid Bush would reinstate the draft.” Her youngest son just started college. I didn’t have the heart to tell her that Obama probably will reinstate the draft, or at least try, because, you know, white boys are shirking their military duty and leaving the inner-city kids to do it. And if Obama thinks it, you know it’s true.

I know. My son's MIL, a staunch Catholic with 5 children, believes in voting donk “as long as one person is poor.” Her husband is a Republican, they are comfortable and she runs around her small town telling everyone that they are poor, to his embarrassment, because she thinks being poor is morally superior.
I will find out at Thanksgiving if she has responded to the Bishops. Frankly, she is heavily influenced by her priest, who knows he can always get a donation from her for whatever.
