I was in the DC area and still in the Reserves during those treasonous times.

As sailors, we went from heroes of the Cuban Missile Crisis to not being able to wear our uniforms to and from reserve meetings and on any travel to active duty centers for training. Active duty sailors were told not to travel to and from duty stations or on leave in uniform.

We basically did evasion manuevers to and from the reserve center to make sure that no one followed us from the meetings. I had my 870 AP loaded with double ought and took it out of my car’s trunk to ride home with me after my chief friend dropped me off at a different parking spot after each meeting.

In the summer of 1967, my younger BIL finished a tour in Nam and returned and was basically assaulted in Seattle when he got off the plane to get on a United flight to Chicago. Fortunately, the United people got his older brother’s phone # and called him and told him to come to OHare with a change of clothes and civilian shoes. His brother was escorted on the plane by the United people, and the younger BIL changed his clothes on the plane. He left his uniform and shoes on the plane be thrown away. He told them to destroy his duffle bag which was being held in baggage security. He and his brother got out of the airport with no problem. He never talked about this until about 3 decades later after their mother died, and he and I discussed these events in our lives.

We were well aware of what John Kerry, Fonda, Hayden, Ted Kennedy and the other traitors were doing and saying. The mediots made them the heroes/patriots and guys and gals in uniform, the evil baby killers.

This hatred continued to grow in the Carter rule of terror. A good friend was named and exposed as a long time CIA operative while stationed in the Med area with his family as a “Stater Dept” guy.

He was outed by a major newspaper and a book. The farm got his wife, older daughter, young son and him out very quickly. The younger daughter was working on a fishing boat and was out of touch for about 2 weeks. Only God knows what happened to his contacts around the world when he was outed.

I said back in 1967 and still say that Kerry, Fonda, Hayden, Ted Kennedy and others should have been tried for treason, and if found guilty, hung in the capitol rotunda and left there to rot as a clear message to the traitors.

Instead, our warriors were treated as criminals while the real criminals like Ayers, Kerry, Fonda, Hayden and others were treated as the great people.
