Palin Supports McCain’s Plan for Amnesty for ILLEGALS

Palin addresses issues on television interview

Republican Vice Presidential candidate and Alaska governor Sarah Palin addressed issues yesterday relating to Latin America, including Hugo Chavez and illegal immigration, in her first interview with a Spanish-language network. The interview began with Univision anchor, Jorge Ramos asking Palin to clarify recent statements she and Republican Presidential candidate John McCain have made, characterising Senator Barack Obama’s tax proposals as “socialist”. Palin denied ever having called Obama a socialist directly.

The interview quickly turned to US nemesis, leftist Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, who has repeatedly claimed the US is planning to attack Venezuela. However, Palin said military action was a last resort. “We hate war. We want peace. “We want through negotiation and sanctions if need be to put pressure on a dictator like Hugo Chavez, to let them see that they will not mess around with America the way that they want to,” she said.

The governor also addressed illegal immigration, saying she and McCain supported a two-pronged approach of securing the border and then working with undocumented workers already in the US.

“There is no way that in the US we would roundup every illegal immigrant - there are about 12 million of the illegal immigrants.

“We - our policy - John McCain has been so clear with his policy and it makes a lot of sense too.

“We secure our borders first. But then with a comprehensive approach we must deal humanely with those who are here, and we must allow the steps to be taken to protect the families of those who are here, maybe as illegal immigrants today,” she said.

McCain has made an effort to reach out to Latino voters, a constituency that could prove key in swing states in November’s election. Latino support for the Republican Party ebbed earlier this year following a bruising battle over illegal immigration. - Reuters

“What was it? We must hang together, if not we will surely hang separately?”

Excellent point.

Two words come to mind under an Nobama administration;

“fairness doctrine”

Which means — “no free republic.”

Let that sink in.

Perhaps Palin should have thought that through before she embraced amnesty.

But scroll around, I did post the link to the transcript.

Save your keystrokes.

People like EagleMamaMT don't want to be reasoned with.

But they'll in the front row of the bitch-o-rama choir if Obama wins.

Look, I used to be a Republican, but I’m not any more. I consider myself an independent, so the “vote for a Republican at all costs” nonsense doesn’t fly with me. McCain/Obama - they rank the same in my eyes. Whichever one is elected, America is going to be changed beyond repair. Both are going to make sure amnesty goes through. After that, we’ll become just another 3rd-world hellhole. Neither one deserves my vote and neither one is going to get it. Don’t worry, there are more than enough people here in Missouri who will jump on the bandwagon like good little Republicans and vote for any mouth-breather who has an R after his name. My little vote for Baldwin isn’t going to make or break which way Missouri goes in the end. I refuse to vote for people I despise and whom I know are going to wreck my country.

"That’s very discouraging..."

That was exactly the reason the person posted this. They got what they were hoping for. Stay home or throw your vote away and they will not only have won this battle but the entire war as Obama takes office.

Good point.

I just don’t understand how folks can just play right into the Alinsky strategy like this. It’s straight out of “Rules for Radicals.”

Know what you’re up against...

And if McCain gets in, will we be any less screwed by his amnesty policy than by Obama’s amnesty policy? I don’t think so. Either way, America is in big trouble. If the Republican party wants my vote, let them nominate someone who puts Americans first. Not someone who’s done all he can to give America to the third-world.

Read the entire thing. Comprehensive Immigration Reform IS amnsesty. A ‘path to citizenship’ IS amnesty. Agreeing with John Mccain’s plan IS amnesty.

Sorry. She is Mccain in a skirt on this issue.

You’re right, as I made clear above. I never intended to vote for McCain. My vote is mine - not yours, not the Democrat party’s and not the Republican party’s, either. I’ll do what I believe is right with it. The lesser of 2 evils is still evil.

I would never throw my vote away-— unlike some in FR who are wishy washy —I can’t wait to vote for McCain/Palin. I merely stated my disappointment. Hopefully, her heart will change when she becomes President in 2012.

I’m moving on. If you want to have your values used as a pawn by the left it’s your business. Congrats, you’re such the independent thinker.

Your vote counts. More than mine, since McCain has no shot where I am. Make no mistake, if McCain loses Missouri, you bear some percentage, however small, of the responsibility.

I’m almost willing to propose swapping votes with you - I’ll make your absurd protest vote where it will truly have no effect and you cast a vote for me that matters.

You can’t possibly be that dense.

Please understand,I don't disagree with you on McCain's stance on this issue.Neither would I call you dense if I did.

What Palin's views are on this issue?I'm not sure.I have not heard her speak on the issue at length.

If you have other articles with her views on this,I would appreciate if you could send them to me.

McCain can be reasoned with, Obama can’t.

You must be joking. He was spitting mad the last time. It was Bush that backed him off. MccAin't is a tyrant and a stubborn fool. He (and his globalist cohorts) will stop at nothing.

The truth is that the country would be far better off if Republicans lose, and lose big. Every friggin RINO torn from power and thrown down. It is my fervent hope that this is what will happen, too.

At least we would face the liberals with true and loyal opposition. From that position of honor and good sense, one can hope to buid upon long tanding coalitions between Conservative Republicans and Blue Dog Democrats, Therein, especially in the House, lies the path to block )boma, not in the election and support of more RINOs
