Yeah, why can’t there be a windfall tax on a studio that puts out one of those box office hits? Have you seen the price of movie tickets these days? Should it be fair that a movie that costs $10 mil to make grosses $100 mil (#s completely out of thin air)? I mean, it’s not like studios don’t spend $10 mil or so on other movies that are box office disasters and have to cover those losses with the one smash hit they produce.

Anyways, good idea. We know the flaw in logic, but it’s an excellent way to call out the left and their tools in Hollywood on it.

Yes I agree.

Of course taxes are counter productive in the sense that they tend to hurt industries a great deal- but given that the Entertainment and Media industries are committed to the destruction of conservatism, it's time that conservatives think about destroying these industries in America.

Plus if played right, this could be ext. popular. The vast majority of the American people hate the media and entertainment industries.

So not only a windfall tax on media companies, but also a huge tax on legal music and video downloads as well as movie tickets and advertising rates on televisions and dvd sales.

This will also serve conservative social ends and hurt the leftists where it hurts.
