Julia Cavenaugh is a Republican from Texas who voted twice for President Bush, so it is no easy stretch for the second-grade teacher to cast her ballot for Barack Obama.
Fed up with Republicans over the economy, she likes Obama's tax and healthcare plans. After the economic crisis erupted last month, she found another reason to reject her party's presidential nominee: temperament.

Today, I decided to ride the local transit system. At one point, the cars ride through a tunnel and cell phone usage is gone.
A young lass next to me is on her cell phone chatting away. She lost communication. She then slightly raised her voice and said to the other party "Can you hear me? If you can, I am going into the tunnel. If you can't, I will call you back when I get off the train."
I kid you not. And oh yes, she was wearing an Obama pin.

It would be almost -- but not quite! -- worth it to see the face of Julia Cavenaugh when she sees her paycheck minus the Obama "spread the wealth" deduction.

What I don’t understand about this article is that the reporter features about a dozen or so voters and every single one of them is supporting Obama.
Now if they are supposed to be swing voters who are supposed to be giving some color to the Times poll- then you wouldn’t have 12-0 in favor of Obama.
Clearly another Drive By piece.
To: JennysCool
So she will have voted for 3 big government progressives in a row.

I have a friend who teaches in New Jersey. She told me a recent (teacher) hire is convinced that every US state is required to have a Dem and Republican US Senator. I asked who the Republican is from Mass, Kerry or Kennedy. :-)

Well, our education system being what it is.

The MSM found yet another republican voting for 0bama! I thought all teachers in Los Angeles were Republicans. I'm shocked you would doubt the LAT's integrity on this story!

I think the Bush tax cuts were pretty good for most of us.
But if you enjoy seeing them lapse and new and heretofore unannounced levies added, vote for your man Obama.

This is why the Los Angeles Times deserves the nick name Slime. I can not believe an editor puts this out with a straight face. They are now shameless. Journalism is now officially dead.
