Reality is though, if they are intent on faking a birth certificate, they don't need him to be there to do that. But the trip may be aimed at "... hey, while I'm here, I might as well go take a little side trip to the records dept and pull out my old BC. Well, lookie here, born in Hawai'i just as I have always said (pssst, boys, great job, looks just like a real one from that time) ..."
