Ya know, I understand Conservative compassion. But we do not know if the Messiah’s grandmother is even ill—let alone terminally ill. Moreover, it does not pass the smell test. We’ve got two weeks to go before Nov. 4. If she is not terminally ill what is the point of making a big show of rushing to her bedside at this critical juncture?

Well, it never hurts to pray. We don’t only pray to ask God for things (for ourselves or others) we also pray to strengthen our relationship with Him. If we pray, say, for the healing of someone who is not sick, what have we lost? Not a thing. We should always be praying for His will anyway.
I don’t know why Obama is doing what he’s doing, I only know why I do what I do. And I go to our Lord in prayer as much as I can (and still not as often as I should).
