First and foremost, prayers go out to Obama’s grandmother.
Everyone should keep their powder dry. Let this thing play itself out. We know that the big 0 has a propensity to screw things up royally. Think Greek columns and the Victory Tower speech. The Rats in general have demonstrated the uncanny ability to overplay their hand time and time again, almost always to a less than desirable outcome. Look at what they did at the Wellstone funeral…
Don’t be distracted by all of the chatter and sympathy oozing from the MSM, they will be trying to take McCain off message. We, and most importantly, he, needs to stay focused like a lazar beam on the socialist aspect of O’s tax plan, and how it will undermine any economic recovery.
Expect a “win one for granny” movement of some scale generated by the MSM to try and counter Joe the Plumber and get his face, and message, off the TV. Again, we must continue to champion that cause because it’s a winner.
With all that being said, I do feel like the timing is all very strange. Exactly two weeks and 6 hours until the polls open and he decides to take a couple of days off to visit his sick grandmother? It just doesn’t smell right.
And why wait 3 days to do it? I don’t know about you, but if my grandmother was sick and was getting worse, I’d be there a lot sooner than 3 days. He could be there in 14 hours, or less, if he had to be.
Now get off you a** and get out and do something to win this election!!
IMO Indiana is not in play. At least 10% of the people in my primary who voted “D” in the SPring were a part of Operation Chaos. He should just join his grandmother, if she trulyis that ill.

I can understand the perceived civility in praying for the entire family, but did the poor grandmother’s DIL and grandchildren make a single visit when they were out there this summer? Are they going out now to be with her—or is Michelle “filling in” for Obama’s campaign events? Did Obama make more than the one brief visit in the week he was out there? Imagine how this would be covered if it were the other team!
Couldn’t suspend for a single day when the President announced a national financial crisis. He even took shots at McCain for doing so. Prayers for Grandma though.

Yes, I believe we are talking about the white grandmother. And I agree. It is hard to lose someone you love, especially when that person raised you.
I don't get the folks who are saying that Obama is using her sickness for some nefarious means. Maybe she is or is not sick, but he is leading in every single national poll and dueling McCain in battleground states that Bush creamed Kerry in. If I was McCain, I'd be taking serious advantage of this "freebie" these next few days.
