I think she had a lot of problems getting her cancer treatment paid for because it was a pre-existing condition.
Her lazy, good-for-nothing son did nothing to help her as she struggled with the insurance company while she lay dying in her bed.

His mother died in 1995 — this Tax Lien was filed in late-1991... it almost certainly pertains to matters in the mid-to-late 1980’s... WELL BEFORE AN HEALTH ISSUE AROSE... I am no fan of the IRS, but it generally takes them a long time to get to the “lien stage” and they generally (though by no means always) have good reason for going after a small-fry like Obama’s mom...
