I wonder if this dynamic between Bolton and Powell has anything to do with this?

Surprised and disappointed. A betrayal of everything expected of a career military officer and former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs. He endorsed an Afro-Marxist for the office of President of the United States. A candidate with zero executive or leadership experience. A candidate whose interests are inimical to the United States...and he expects us to believe his endorsement was not based on race. Next up: an endorsement by Dr. Condoliza Rice.

Another one of Bush's PC dumbass picks to come back to bite us in the ass. Bush has been terrible in his picks for administration positions. That has been by far his biggest failure as president.

When Colin Powell was putting out feelers for the 2000 Presidential election cycle initially he did not reveal his party affiliation, nor did he reveal any ideological positions. He milked his had high approval numbers based on personality as long as he could.

In Gulf War I he was a voice of restraint, denying the troops the opportunity to complete the task, hence the genesis of Gulf War II.

Sorry, but to me Powell is at best an empty suit, at worst a timid liberal. It is no surprise here that he backs the more Marxist Muslim candidate.

Would that be the Colin Powell who went before all of America and told us why we MUST invade Iraq and then when things started getting tough, he left us high and dry to deal with the problems.?

That one?

Wow, what a great example of leadership to our military and to our children.

I find it disgraceful.

Powell is the same idiot who wanted to continue to count the votes. I’ll never forget that.

I also hope he doesn’t forget that it wasn’t the democratic party that got him where he is today.

Yes, I am surprised. I gave this man entirely too much credit for loving his country and being wise.

Mr Ayer’s group was planning to bomb a military ball?

Mr. Ayer is claimed to help author Obama’s book?

Mr. Ayer is unrepentant and Obama lies about what he knows about him?

Mr. Ayer steps on the flag of The United States of America?

General Powell endorses these associations and misrepresentations when he backs Obama.

Why, it was Martin Luther King who said he longed for the day when “men would not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.”

No one is surprised.

The only people who care about Powell’s Obama endorsement is the media.

There is no surprise here. If you've seen interviews with Powell be it on 60 minutes or Larry King, you know he's "center-left" and supports abortion, dove international policy and more. Obama is a good fit for Colin's stated views. All that said, he's clearly disloyal to Reagan and the Bushes who did so much to advance his career because they believed he had talent. He's a sniping opportunist who lacks the guts to run for office himself. I'm pleased as punch. I never ever liked him and couldn't believe so many were delusional enough to think he'd be a good president Republican or otherwise.

Powells reasoning is even more of a joke. He thought Obama was better suited to handle the economic caos because he is smoother and calmer...

Powell is an AA case, sorry to say.
