ED is still doing special reports for FoxNews. ED and her current husband have at least 8 kids between them. She originally moved from Fox & Friends to a later slot because she needed to be home to get kids off to school.
I don't know this to be fact, but perhaps ED was needed at home more than she felt she needed to be on TV. I do miss her and am always glad to see her on a special presentation.
