You hit on something very important, one of the reasons Obama lost is he played defense, he played not to lose, he acted as if that NY Times poll was dead on, you can see it in his eyes, he thinks it is over and he needs to just run out the clock. If I was McCain I would study past elections like the 68 one where Humphrey almost won after being down double digits in early October. If McCain gives a spirited three week burst of energy, he should win.
