I logged on just to ask this question—CNN had Obama alone on the screen for at least a full minute. Am I not remembering this right—I thought it was a split screen the whole time.

Networks can use any of the camera feeds available to them. So to answer your question about CNN giving McCain the same undivided attention... of course not.
