My grandmother put a birth announcement in her local paper as soon as she heard about it, but I wasn’t born there.

This isn’t unusual.

The birth announcement here gave a local address for Obama's parents. Pretty unlikely that your grandmother's announcement of your birth did likewise.

Really the strongest thing for conspiracy types to hang their hat on is that this is an announcement of the birth of a couple who lived in Hawaii but were in Kenya for the birth. After all, the birth notice does not say that the baby was born at a hospital in Hawaii. It just states that a baby was born to the Obamas on that date.
