Never before posting a vanity, I ask you to please bear with me. I discovered this evening just how limited posting at FReerepublic tends to be. There are many fantastic people here, and I am glad that I found Freerepublic several years ago. What a fantastic Conservative home this is! I am so thankful that Jim and John Robinson have developed and maintained this forum to allow the discourse to further our Conservative ideals.

That being said, and as much as Freerepublic continues to allow free speech here, we are missing some modern ways to fight for our Freedoms. We are under attack folks, our beliefs in God and our Country are suffering from the very sick left. And we talk about it here, and often. And, we agree with each other most all of the time!

But, we are preaching to the choir.

How do you expect to win this election? How do you expect to be able to fight the left? By talking among each other? Is that enough? Is complaining about the McCain campaign here at Freerepublic going to solve the crisis of this election?

As MUCH as I appreciate the superior role that Freerepublic plays in the National News, there are other websites that crucify Conservatives on a minute-to-minute time schedule. Check out DIGG for a REAL glimpse into other voters reality.

Freerepublic, and each individual reading this, can defeat Barack Obama in this election, make no mistake about that. But, the Candidates have asked for our help. Sarah Palin needs for us to step outside of the comfort zone that embodies us here at Freerepublic to fight for our survival as the most imortant voting group in America. Conservatives MUST win, and must take all measures neccesary to defeat Obama.

Find a way to accomplish an Obama defeat. Our lives depend on it. Make no mistake about that.

There is a lot more cros-pollination of ideas from FR to other forums and news outlets than you might think.

That said, I think FR needs to allow more of the Liberal agenda’s articles and news items to be posted here. Know your enemy is my way of thinking of it.

Also, too many FR members say “I won’t read anything from ____ “ How many times have I read that here? How the hell are you going to know what’s going on if you don’t know what the other side is saying and publishing and broadcasting?

My gut is that that this election has freepers more ngaged than ever before... granted, many of us are working hard more out of fear/distrust/antipathy for Obama than any real passion for McCain (though I view the man to be a true patriot... he is, alas, no Ronald Reagan)...

The stakes are VERY high — we must not falter...

I certainly can appreciate your adherence to a liberal agenda, and we welcome your ideas. But, I have to tell you, liberalism in any form makes my skin crawl.

Actually, we do read ideas and discussions (if one can call them that) from other forums. They give us the material to critically analyze and debate.

Most fall short of logical coherence, factual data and civility. Knowing the enemy doesn't mean falling in line with them. That's being politically correct and polite....and weakens a conservative point of view.

The last notable points of rational democrat thought came from Daniel Moynihan, Sam Nunn and Scoop Jackson. They're gone now....and so's the Democrat party.

This is exactly what I’ve been doing. There’s no place better than FR to grab headlines quickly and make sure they are seen elsewhere. So I may not be spending as much time posting here as I would normally. Instead, I’m trying to get the information out. I personally use Yahoo Buzz, where I am usually fighting a losing battle to HuffPo, and my facebook. Other people use other sharing tools. I would encourage everyone to use as many sharing tools as they have time for. It’s the only way we can fight the lSM.
