I am not sure it is whacked to pray that Obama doesn’t win the election next month. On the other hand, do people think this sort of thing helps in any way?
Thoughts ?
I believe the Lord is the only one that can straighten out this man made mess.
Read the Old Testament... God HEARS PRAYER sir... GOD HEARS... this is a spiritual battle this election. God will HEAL OUR LAND if we cry out and repent.
There was a prayer right before the Convention acceptance speech.. or after, with the SAME TONE!!! YES, it makes a difference!
What I pray privately is what I pray privately, but the triune God I believe in cannot override voters' free will. I suppose he could steer people to truth wherever it may be found if he so chooses.
Since there were different ethnic groups in attendance although what appeared a small minority, maybe it would be better not to have a prayer as such, but if they don't pick on us for that, it will be something else.
I've pondered a lot about why things go the way they do, just pray there is a plan and that it is God's plan :-)
There is a verse in the Bible about the effectiveness of the prayers of the faithful. If it comes from the heart and is Gods will, then yes it will work.
