Your point is well taken. It’s a good step. Nevertheless, such a law is entirely insufficient in stemming the tide of abortion as a whole. I still maintain that removing the issue to the states is the best way to combat abortion in all trimesters, as many states would simply outlaw the practice altogether and thereby create, for the first time in thirty-some-odd years, a sizable chunk of the country where babies cannot legally be murdered.
