While that is undoubtedly true, whose cause do you think he supports, the side who wanted slavery and now infanticide on demand, or the party that was formed to end slavery and now opposes infanticide?
The question isn't whether God is on our side, but if we are on Gods side.
We are commanded to judge, and then decide which side to join.
Abortion is used as a political tool, not only by the Democrats, but also the Republicans. It's the carrot they dangle over us every election to make us vote for them. And yet here we are decades later, and they still haven't eliminated it. We've had quite a few justices appointed by Republicans, and some of them are liberal on abortion. My fear is that they won't end abortion because it's too potent a tool for gaining votes. If they really wanted to end abortion they would make a push for removing abortion from the purview of federal jurisdiction and give it back to the states where it belongs. Many states would outlaw it pretty quickly, and this alone would be an improvement over what we have now.
God can see through rhetoric and political ploys. He's for his people in all parties (indeed in all nations) rather than being a sold-out party man, so to speak.
