This is a bogus poll, believe me. It is complete crap. I live in West Virginia and West Virginia went almost ENTIRELY to Hillary in the Dem primary county by county. There were some southern West Virginia counties that went 88 to 8 or 89 to 10 percent in Hillary’s favor. Not exactly fertile territory for Obama. West Virginia has more registered Democrats than Republicans but the state has a huge conservative evangelical base that, if they come out on Election Day, won’t vote for Barry. There is also a very small black population statewide.
If there is racism alive and well in this country it is in the black community....no doubt.
If there is racism among whites then it is more in Appalachia among white Democrats...if those Democrats pull the lever for Obama...in WV etc...then the race won’t be close.
It’s time to realize the scenario McCain is against...
1. MSM not telling the truth and refusing to do a negative story on Obama...the uninformed voter sees him as refreshing and inspirational
2. The economy is terrible and the MSM is making certain the Republicans are blamed for it.
3. The war in Iraq sank Bush’s approval ratings and McCain has been painted by the MSM as just another George Bush
4. The MSM (with the help of McCain himself) has painted McCain as inconsistent and unstable..
So how do you win this thing? You make Obama a HUGE threat and scare. You equate CHANGE with SOCIALISM...that allows you to attack him without the fear of “racism” charges..(I’m so sick of that one too...who the hell cares if they call you a racist...stick to the issues and that charge is void)... it allows you to tie him to his socialist radical friends Ayers, Davis, Wright...etc..
You build a ton of doubt in the voters minds....that is how you win this.
I’m just not certain McCain has the balls to do what he has to to win.
